The Seed of Soulful with Nipuni

There was a time in my life when I didn’t know how to take care of my mind.Growing up, mental health was not something we openly discussed. It was often treated as a taboo a quiet subject avoided in conversation. Seeking help was almost impossible, and the right care was either limited or out of reach.
In my teenage years and early twenties, I faced my own battles with the black dog. There were dark days and long nights of confusion. Yet, there were also a few kind souls who extended their hands when I needed them most. I’m eternally grateful for their presence.
That experience became the beginning of my path toward self-awareness. I started to seek knowledge through science, experience, and spirituality. I learned to listen to my own thoughts, to care for myself, and to nurture balance from within.
That’s how Soulful with Nipuni was born, from pain transformed into purpose. It began as my personal healing journey and grew into a space of stillness, reflection, and gentle transformation.
Recently, I came across a story that touched me deeply.Someone asked a florist, “How can I make flowers last longer?”The florist smiled and said,
“Flowers are not meant to last. They’re here to teach us presence, to grow, to bloom, to bring beauty, and to fade, reminding us to enjoy them while they’re here.”
That message stayed with me. A flower is the result of a plant that has been nurtured, cared for, and allowed to grow in balance with its surroundings. It doesn’t compete to bloom it simply does, giving its best to the world where it’s planted. Just like flowers, our mental health too needs care, nourishment, and balance. And like them, we are not meant to be perfect or permanent, only present.
So, this World Mental Health Day, I want to remind you:Healing is not linear. Stillness is not doing nothing; it’s choosing to be present.Take your time. Honour your seasons. You are still blooming even in the dark.
In quiet flight toward becoming. 🪷
