I chose the blue water lily, the Nil Manel, as the heart of Soulful with Nipuni because it carries both my roots and my vision.The Nil Manel is Sri Lanka’s national flower, a blossom unique to the island where I was born. For me, it represents the quiet strength of home, the gentle reminder that even when life carries us across oceans, we bloom best when we remain connected to our origins. In Buddhist tradition, the blue lotus symbolizes wisdom, stillness, and awakening. It grows from muddy waters yet rises untouched, blooming with serene beauty. To me, this is the essence of soulful living: finding light in the midst of challenges, and unfolding layer by layer into who we are meant to become.​ The lotus reflects my own journey from self-care to reflection to a deeper calling toward holistic growth and mindful living. Just as the petals open slowly, my path is opening too, one practice, one reflection, one transformation at a time. The blue lotus is not just a flower. It is my anchor, my symbol, and my offering, a reminder that we all hold the power to rise, to realign, and to live soulfully.
